Jedes Mal, wenn jemand in den Adafruit-Foren schreibt, dass er ein wirklich langes Kabel für seine Pi Kamera (CSI) oder sein Pi Display (DSI) braucht, sagt Adafruit: "Oh, du meinst so eine Art CSI/DSI-Kabelverlängerungsdings? Ja, Adafruit hat so etwas noch nicht auf Lager" Aber diese Zeit ist vorbei! Jetzt kann Adafruit sagen: "Ja, Adafruit hat ein CSI/DSI Cable Extender Thingy auf Lager!" Und Adafruit zeigt sie hier.

Dieses Thingy ist sehr einfach, es ermöglicht die Verbindung von zwei 15-poligen Kabeln mit 1,0 mm Abstand und die Verlängerung der Länge. Es erledigt das Umstecken der Pins für dich, also stecke die beiden Kabel einfach ein. Hebeln Sie die beiden Ohren der Stecker vorsichtig auf, stecken Sie die Kabel mit den Kontakten nach oben ein und drücken Sie dann die Ohren wieder ein, um eine solide Verbindung herzustellen.

Theoretisch ist die CSI/DSI-Schnittstelle nicht für superlange Kabel gedacht, und Sie sollten sie auch nicht verlängern. Aber wir lachen der Theorie ins Gesicht. Wir haben zwei 1 Meter lange Verlängerungskabel mit diesem Ding angeschlossen und unser Display und unsere Kamera haben funktioniert! Aber, nur damit du es weißt, es ist wirklich nicht garantiert: CSI/DSI sind für eine maximale Länge von vielleicht 25cm gedacht.

Every time someone posts on the Adafruit forums and says they need to have a really long cable for their Pi Camera (CSI) or Pi Display (DSI), Adafruit say, "Oh you mean like some sort of CSI/DSI cable extender thingy? Yeah Adafruit don't have one of those in stock yet" But that time is over! Now Adafruit can say, "Yes Adafruit have a CSI/DSI Cable Extender Thingy in stock!" And Adafruit point them here.

This Thingy is very simple, it lets you connect two 15-pin 1.0mm pitch cables end-to-end and extend the length. It does the funky pin rearranging and all for you, so just snap those two cables in. Carefully pry the two ears of the connectors, plug the cables with contacts pointing up, and then push the ears back in for a solid connection.

In theory, the CSI/DSI interface isn't meant for super long cables, and you're not supposed to extend them. But we laugh in the face of theory. We connected two 1 meter long extension cables using this Thingy and our Display and Camera worked! But, just so you know, it's really not guaranteed: CSI/DSI are meant for maybe 25cm max length.
