The Adafruit Mini PiTFT - 135x240 color TFT add-on for Raspberry Pi is your little TFT friend that can be plugged onto any Raspberry Pi computer to give you a small display. The mini PiTFT comes with a full color 240x135 pixel IPS display with great visibility from all angles. The TFT uses only the SPI port, so it is very fast, and we still leave enough pins free for buttons, LEDs, sensors, etc. It's also nice and compact, so it will fit in any case.
This display is super small, only about 1.14" diagonally, but since it's an IPS display, it's very readable with high contrast and good visibility. We had some space on the top, so we give you two tactile buttons on GPIO pins so you can create a simple user interface. On the bottom, Adafruit has a Qwiic/STEMMA QT connector for I2C sensors and devices, so you can connect and play any STEMMA QT device.
Using the display is very simple, we have a kernel driver and Python library for the ST7789 chipset. You can set it up as a console output so you have text and user interface through the Raspberry Pi OS, or draw images, text, whatever you want with the Python imaging library. Our tests showed refresh rates of ~15 FPS, so you can create animations or simple videos.
Comes fully pre-assembled and tested, so you don't have to do anything but plug it in and install our Python code! Works with any Raspberry Pi computer.
