Software

Use WiFi on your Pi Zero with the ESP8266 pHAT! Pimoroni took the ESP8266 (ESP-12F) module and added the necessary circuitry so that it can communicate cleanly with the Raspberry Pi via the serial interface.

The ESP8266 pHAT also provides several GPIO pins and an ADC channel, along with a small prototyping area where sensors and other components can be added.

Software

The ESP8266 pHAT does not have a Python library like most Pimoroni HATs and pHATs. Instead, it requires commands sent via Serial from a terminal emulator like Minicom.
