The Raspberry Pi 500+ combines the compactness of a keyboard PC with modern performance and high-quality components. Based on the Raspberry Pi 5, it integrates a mechanical keyboard with individually addressable RGB lighting for the first time, combined with 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a pre-installed 256 GB SSD. This makes the 500+ ideal as a ready-to-use desktop replacement, especially for educational institutions, office environments, or embedded applications where compact, powerful clients are required.
Compared to its predecessor, the Raspberry Pi 500, the Plus version offers significant improvements: more powerful hardware, interchangeable keycaps, and a full-size SSD slot with NVMe speed without the need to connect external components.

Product variants
The Raspberry Pi 500+ is available in two main variants:

Unit-Only : Includes the device with a pre-installed 256GB SSD, but without a power adapter, mouse, or HDMI cable.

Desktop Kit : In addition to the main unit, it includes an EU USB-C power adapter, a USB mouse, a micro HDMI to standard HDMI cable, and a beginner's guide.
The difference lies in the scope of delivery – functionally, the core system remains identical.
