LetsTrust TPM ist eine einfach zu nutzende TPM (Trusted Platform Module) Lösung für den Raspberry Pi, basierend auf dem Infineon Optiga™ SLB 9672 TPM 2.0.

Ein TPM ist ein spezialisierter Sicherheitschip. Er dient zur sicheren Speicherung kryptografischer Schlüssel und zur Durchführung sicherer Operationen. Ein Hardware-TPM bietet vielfältige Einsatzmöglichkeiten, einschließlich Authentifizierung, Signaturen und der sicheren Verwaltung von Krypto-Schlüsseln.

Das Modul kann auch als True Hardware Random Number Generator (TRNG) eingesetzt werden, wenn man eine gute Quelle für Zufall braucht!

LetsTrust TPM nutzt die SPI Schnittstelle, um mit dem Pi zu kommunizieren. Es ist zu allen Raspberry Pi Singleboard Computern kompatibel (Pi 5*, Pi 4, Pi 3B+, Pi 3, Pi 2, Pi 1, Pi Zero, Pi 400 mit Adapterkabel).

* Anmerkung zur Komptabilität zum Pi 5: Im Falle des Pi 5 mit einer Standard Kühllösung benötigt man zusätzlich einen Stacking Header.

Kompakter Footprint, damit weitere GPIO-Pins ohne Probleme genutzt werden können: 2x5 Pins von Pin 17 bis Pin 26 sind durch LetsTrust belegt.

Hardware-Installation:

Schritt 1: Aufstecken des 8-Pin Headers, auf Pin 1 des Raspberry Pi's.

Hinweis: Das Bild zeigt den Pi Zero WH (mit vorgelötetem Header). Das LetsTrust TPM ist selbstverständlich auch mit dem Raspberry Pi 1 / 2 / 3 kompatibel. Der Pin Header hat oben Pins, die bei Bedarf direkt für andere Projekte genutzt werden können. Das Aufstecken des 8-Pin Headers dient der Ermittlung der korrekten Pins zum Aufstecken des LetsTrust TPM Moduls und ist für dessen Funktion nicht erforderlich.
Schritt 2: Aufstecken des LetsTrust TPM Moduls. Das Modul wird direkt neben den 8-Pin Header gesteckt.

Hinweise:
- Pi Zero WH nicht im Lieferumfang, wird aber empfohlen für einfachen Plug & Play Einstieg ohne Löten.
- Software-Installation notwendig, um das Modul zu nutzen - siehe www.letsTrust.de ab Rasbian mit Kernel 4.14.85 DTO Unterstützung.

Step 1: Attach the 8-pin header to Pin 1 of the Raspberry Pi.

Note: The image shows the Pi Zero WH (with pre-soldered header). The LetsTrust TPM is, of course, also compatible with Raspberry Pi 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5*. The pin header has pins on top, which can be used directly for other projects if needed. Attaching the 8-pin header is to determine the correct pins for the LetsTrust TPM module and is not required for its operation.
* Note on compatibility with the Pi 5: In the case of the Pi 5 with a standard cooling solution, a stacking header is also required.
Step 2: Attach the LetsTrust TPM Module The module is attached directly next to the 8-pin header.
