The EDATEC ED-Pi5CASE-EXT is a custom-designed metal case for the Raspberry Pi 5 with an integrated passive heat sink . It combines optimal protection, effective heat dissipation, and full interface accessibility in a high-quality design.
Constructed from robust sheet steel and CNC-machined aluminum, it ensures durability even in industrial or harsh environments . The passive cooling fins reliably dissipate heat from the CPU, RAM, and PMIC, supported by prefabricated thermal pads. This allows the Raspberry Pi 5 to operate stably even under high continuous load – without fan noise or thermal throttling.
Thanks to the open design, all ports – including GPIO, CSI/DSI, USB, HDMI, and Ethernet – remain fully usable. The removable cover facilitates access to the GPIO pins and makes the case particularly attractive for developers, prototyping, and B2B applications such as edge computing, automation, or embedded solutions .
With a VESA-compatible back, compact size, and matte black finish, the ED-Pi5CASE-EXT fits seamlessly into labs, workshops, or control cabinets.
